Ingrid was a young art student from Germany visiting Florence for the summer working as an artist’s model. Although she aspired to attend a reputable art school in Italy and become a classical artist, she was discouraged by high tuition. I’ve immortalized her in this painting as a tribute to those who hold a dream in their heart.
